Once a Writ has been filed in a Court of Law, only the rule of Law is applicable.

pension to retired fci employees. Empty Pension sxcheme

Some retired persons in Chennai are collecting funds for filing a petition in Chennai High Court for pension on the basis of Central Govt.employees and are contacting retired employees that another such civil writ petition had also been filed in Kerala High Court. They are also misleading retired employees across India that Mr.Joseph, Food Minister had assured them in a meeting in Kerala that he would get them pension released on the pattern of Central Govt.employes, but somehow he could not declare it. In my view there is no such provision for such pension when we were CPF optees. IT IS SAID THAT this has backing of Mr.Srinivasan, ex ED(Legal). Will Mr.Srnivasan clarify it that when an officer who is spearheading this movement and retired in 2003 has woke up now in 2013. Please confirm if their writ can bring some result or they are collecting money from Rs.500/- to Rs.5000/- per employee and why he remained silent when he was ED(Legal) in FCI
What is position of pension scheme proposed with LIC, which had been approved in the case of CWC, NFL and RCF though it is in different manner for CWC and NFL and RCF M.L.Gupta, Bathinda: 09465261619

For those opting for CPF, the only pension is as per the EPS 95, given by the RPFC. There is no other pension scheme, that too for a person who has already retired. However, India being a democratic country, anyone can approach the court of law on any issue. It is for the court to decide whether their claim is tenable or not. As for collection of money, again in a democratic country, anyone can approach anybody. However, as an intelligent adult, one should always use their judgement before giving any contribution to anyone.

The pension scheme under the defined contribution basis, which was approved by the FCI BoD and Food Ministry but was not agreed to by the Finance Ministry is only for those employees who were in service as on 1.1.2007 or enters into service after that date. It does not cover retired employees. CWC scheme which has already been put in place is also on similar lines. LIC was not linked with the scheme at any point of time.

The present Food Minister is Dr. KV Thomas, and not any Mr. Joseph.
