The NPS is managed & operated by the EPFO which now it has become more beneficial due to enhancement of the ceiling prescribed already. The action need to be initiated by the employer by getting the option from the employee and sending the same to the EPFO along with the required option by the employer (FCI). But no action appears to have been taken at any corner. It seems the union, associations etc also not showing any interest over this beneficial scheme which came through the Hon'ble Supreme court verdict.
The DCPS is the additional benefit extended by FCI which is nothing but the rate of return on investment. Under this the Capital is intact for some of the options to be exercised by the individual pensioners. However on completion of the full service (say 30-35 years of service) this scheme may also render benefit more attractive for almost all the options
