The allowances need to be approved by the Board of Directors before they can be finalised.
The next BoD meeting has been scheduled on 18th Nov 2009.

The minutes of the meeting are yet to come. There seems to be some grey areas. We hope to get complete clarity on the issue by next week.

FCI Board has been kind enough to accept the demand of the Officers Association and has approved the proposal of allowances in toto. Now fringe benefits are payable as 50% (4% medical + 3% LTC + 43% others) for the Cat I & II Officers of the Corporation w.e.f. 26/11/08.
HRA / Lease has been also approved w.e.f. 26/11/08.

All officers of the corporation deserve congratulations for making the grant of fringe benefits to the maximum extent possible . This is a historic achievement of the association which will be a boon for the future generation of officers in FCI. We must at this moment express gratitude to our worthy CMD who took a bold stand to ensure that the proposal is approved by the Board. We also are grateful to the sustained efforts made by ED(Personnel) Smt Anjali Anand Srivastava and Sh Anup Kumar GM(Personnel) who went beyond the call of duty and made it a personal agenda to push the proposal. At this moment let us take a pledge to work wholeheartedly for the corporation so that we are able to show our worth to the other Navratna Companies which we seek to emulate. Once again the Association salutes the spirit of unity displayed by officers of the corporation which has made this achievement possible.

The circular in this regard is expected by next Friday.

Sir, there is some news that the allowances file has been sent to the Ministry. Can u please update us on this matter.

As per the decision of the CMD, the Board Agenda along with the decision of the Board has been forwarded to the Ministry for concurrence.

sir, will the decision of BoD will be approved by the ministry as such or the ministry has any role to play in approval?

We can only hope that it would be approved as it is. However, the final decision now remains with the Ministry.

Sir, is there any circulers issued regarding HRA @ new rate i.e. @ 10%, 20% or 30%. B'cs at present we are getting @ old rate.

what is the latest status of the proposed fringe benefits? Has it received financial concurrence of the ministry?

The Ministry had sought certain clarifications. The same had already been provided.
Now the file is pending with the Finance Division of the Ministry. However, in view of the strike call by the BKNK Sangh, the file of Cat.III & IV is being given priority.

I see. Is there any expected time frame by which we can expect the Ministry to agree to the proposals?

Also, there was this talk of the pay scale of executives further getting elevated to the immediate next pay band in view of inclusion of the ninth pay band. Is this true or merely a rumuor?

cwc is now getting 40% FB .their board has approved. it was infirmed that they need not seek any order from ministry. Where wwe stand? pl inform.
