Leased Accommodation Facility.

Respected Sir,
Is leased Acxommodation facility (including self lease) available PAN India irrespective of place of posting ? If I am posted at Mumbai, can I lease house (Not self owned) at Nagpur if I provide certificate that, I am residing at Mumbai but my family is residing at Nagpur. Has FCI any provisions in this regards ?

Leased accommodation is provided in lieu of official FCI owned accommodation. So the rules and procedure applicable for normal FCI owned accommodation are also applicable for lease. An employee is permitted to retain accommodation at earlier place of posting under certain circumstances. Same rules are also applicable for lease. However, lease can not be availed at any location where the person has never been posted or from where a person had already claimed transportation benefits for shifting of family and accommodation.
